Bold, Beautiful Engagement Party

March 21, 2019 2:48 pm

When two people promise to wed, it’s a cause for celebration! This engagement party, at Calamigos Ranch, combined classic decor with clever personalization. Our favorite touch was the bright pink neon sign with the couples’ hash tag. The color palette featured light pink, white, and cool lime green, creating a springlike feel. Our green taper candles in hurricanes and gleaming silver lanterns alternated with flowers on long tables, as well as dramatic long ‘bridge’ floral pieces, adorned with gleaming, fairly-lit bulbs. Check out the modern donut wall in the background! Always a guest favorite, we topped the wall with greenery for a decorative accent. A lush piece of amaranthus, roses, and textural greens highlight the oh-so-clever neon sign. VENDORS: Floral... Read More

Real Wedding: Baby’s Breath and Roses at the Beverly Hilton

March 9, 2019 5:19 pm

For this wedding, held at the iconic Beverly, Hilton, the bride and groom wanted full, elegant displays featuring roses, orchids, and pops of babys breath, and a huge installation of florals above the dance floor. The result: Romantic, chic event design. Jessica Claire’s photos capture the glamour, from start to finish. Candles lined the aisle in the ceremony space. Branches of cherry blossom and rustic elements created this stunning chuppah. Delicate glass bulbs hung down from tall stands of orchids and babys breath on the long tables in the ballroom. A mix of tall centerpieces and lower arrangements alternated throughout the space. Palace Party Rental’s chairs alternated between gold and white. Natural and Luxe at Malibu Rocky Oaks

March 6, 2019 2:54 am

At this Malibu Rocky Oaks wedding, our couple wanted a fresh, natural look, mixed with upscale touches – collections of chic candles, bespoke glassware, and rose gold elements. Planner Shelli Armstrong expertly brought it all together for a stunning event. A crown-like circle of greenery rimmed the ceremony platform, flanked with wood pillars and compote arrangements. The sweetheart table featured lush urn arrangements set atop wood pillars. Rich floral runners of eucalpytus and ivory roses spilled over rustic wood tables. How perfect are these salt and pepper cellars with the tiny service spoons? The table settings feature copper-rose gold and marble-style elements, and an adorable bloom of ivory rose on each charger. We draped greenery and white orchids on Malibu... Read More

Real Wedding: Quiet Elegance at the Langham Pasadena

March 1, 2019 2:11 am

Many of the weddings we design host literally hundreds of people – huge events with lots of guests. But some of the smaller, more intimate affairs are just as innovative design-wise as our larger events. For this wedding of less than 75 guests, the couple wanted to add architectural designs to their florals, and we were happy to oblige, from the circle of roses behind the couple – that later accented the cake table – to the lush flower wall behind the sweetheart table. As always, we enjoyed working with the confident and capable Katie Lee from Bella Destinee, and photographer Andy Seo. Gold chairs by Palace Party Rental vibed perfectly with the soft whites and ivories of the florals.... Read More

Real Wedding Inspiration: Stunning Sweetheart Tables

February 19, 2019 3:04 pm

The stars of every wedding are the couple getting married, so it’s natural to have them sit apart from the guests in a beautifully appointed table all of their own. We have taken sweetheart tables to a higher art, and here share our absolute favorites. The background of a sweetheart table can be just as important as the design of the table itself. In the photo above, two beautiful tall floral arrangements with cascading flowers were placed behind the sweetheart table, adding height to the overall look. For this look, above, a stand above the sweetheart table is overflowing with hanging greenery; while it’s not only a beautiful design, this type of overhead arrangement can also, in a way, symbolize... Real Wedding: Sumptuous Greenery at Four Seasons Westlake Village

February 14, 2019 3:37 pm

Who doesn’t love greenery? When the rustic trend came upon the wedding world a few years ago, it thrilled designers and florists everywhere. Greenery can be used to add lush depth and dimension to wedding floral design. For this sumptuous wedding at the Four Seasons Westlake Village, we used tons (well, not literally – but close!) of pepper tree, eucalyptus, and other foliage to create a dreamy look for our couple. Lin and Jirsa captured it all on camera, and Maryam Forutan, owner of Delicate Details, helped ensure all elements of this amazing wedding came together beautifully. A Chuppah with Greenery and White Flowers The centerpiece of the wedding ceremony was this chuppah, overflowing with greenery, amaranthus, and white and... Read More

Real Wedding: Soft Ivories and Romantic Greenery in the Malibu Hills

February 13, 2019 2:15 am

Private estates offer a one-of-a-kind, “Where is that?”-esque sense of sanctuary to a couple’s wedding day. For this event, the couple had their wedding at a private estate in Malibu, with a stunning backdrop of rolling hills and ocean waves. We created florals rich in texture and romantic greenery. The textures, colors, and overall inspiration of the wedding floral design was rustic and organic, as if the bouquets and design grew naturally from the surrounding hills. To create this look, we used ivory spray roses, roses, veronica, and varieties of greenery. The showpiece of this wedding was the half-crown backdrop of tall white florals and greenery, embracing the couple as they exchanged vows. Photos by Anya Kernes, below. The blush... Read More
