A Beautiful Blend of Colors and Textures at Saddlerock Ranch

When you think of florals, you often think of beautiful flowers arranged in a clear vase. But in the floral and event design world, there are tons of different kinds of containers for arrangements, not just clear glass. Chelsea and Hank wanted to play with a variety of materials for their event design – they wanted pottery, metal vases, and even standalone wood pieces for their decor. We worked with terra cotta and cement pots and urns, as well as a variety of other containers, for this sophisticated wedding at Saddlerock Ranch.

For our color theme, we used lots of greenery and green flowers (like hydrangeas) accented with pink from pampas grass, astilbe, and proteas. Collections of small and large pots and driftwood worked together to create a natural yet composed look. Small pots, bud vases, metal vases and clear candle holders lined some guests’ tables; and tall, grand arrangements of pure greenery gave height to others.

A mix of texture and styles adds visual variety to a design, as long as it’s tied together by a consistent color palette. For an eyeful of this unique wedding, take a look at photos by Chris Glenn, below.
