Bringing the Outside In at Beverly Hills Hotel

June 22, 2019 6:29 am

We love all things greenery. And, we love glamorous, elegant ballrooms. Some people think greenery and ballrooms don’t mix, but we beg to differ. For this wedding, we were able to bring the outside in – bringing in whole pepper trees, hanging greenery, and lining a glossy dance floor with even more greenery. And, it worked! Light and Lavish Touches: Pink Wedding at Riviera Country Club

May 24, 2019 2:25 am

The ballroom at the Riviera Country Club has a decadent look – rich gold curtains, chandeliers, and sconces add a gilded feel to the room. We worked with light, pretty pink florals to add dimension and romance to the overall design of this classic, beautiful wedding. We combined ivory, bright pink, lavender, and antique pink roses with hydrangea for the reception florals, collecting charming small pieces down long tables and going for drama with tall, glamorous centerpieces for the round tables. The ceremony featured clusters of florals and eucalyptus greenery on the existing gazebo at the Riviera, adding texture and depth to the vows area. Ivory draping added a final sophisticated touch. Our favorite part of this wedding? The non-matching... Read More

Bold, Beautiful Engagement Party

March 21, 2019 2:48 pm

When two people promise to wed, it’s a cause for celebration! This engagement party, at Calamigos Ranch, combined classic decor with clever personalization. Our favorite touch was the bright pink neon sign with the couples’ hash tag. The color palette featured light pink, white, and cool lime green, creating a springlike feel. Our green taper candles in hurricanes and gleaming silver lanterns alternated with flowers on long tables, as well as dramatic long ‘bridge’ floral pieces, adorned with gleaming, fairly-lit bulbs. Check out the modern donut wall in the background! Always a guest favorite, we topped the wall with greenery for a decorative accent. A lush piece of amaranthus, roses, and textural greens highlight the oh-so-clever neon sign. VENDORS: Floral... Read More

Real Wedding: Quiet Elegance at the Langham Pasadena

March 1, 2019 2:11 am

Many of the weddings we design host literally hundreds of people – huge events with lots of guests. But some of the smaller, more intimate affairs are just as innovative design-wise as our larger events. For this wedding of less than 75 guests, the couple wanted to add architectural designs to their florals, and we were happy to oblige, from the circle of roses behind the couple – that later accented the cake table – to the lush flower wall behind the sweetheart table. As always, we enjoyed working with the confident and capable Katie Lee from Bella Destinee, and photographer Andy Seo. Gold chairs by Palace Party Rental vibed perfectly with the soft whites and ivories of the florals.... Read More

Real Wedding Inspiration: Stunning Sweetheart Tables

February 19, 2019 3:04 pm

The stars of every wedding are the couple getting married, so it’s natural to have them sit apart from the guests in a beautifully appointed table all of their own. We have taken sweetheart tables to a higher art, and here share our absolute favorites. The background of a sweetheart table can be just as important as the design of the table itself. In the photo above, two beautiful tall floral arrangements with cascading flowers were placed behind the sweetheart table, adding height to the overall look. For this look, above, a stand above the sweetheart table is overflowing with hanging greenery; while it’s not only a beautiful design, this type of overhead arrangement can also, in a way, symbolize...
