“I Do” in the Desert

When modern and boho designs collide, the result is bound to be one of a kind. For Jamie and Glenn, we created something completely unique from other timeless events, yet still elegant and stylish.

For the ceremony, we constructed the chuppah structure from transparent acrylic that perfectly glistened in the desert sun. Succulents, air plants, pampas grass, and white phalaenopsis orchids among other exotic plants decorated the posts. The color palette was created from a muted mixture of whites, greens, and tans which gave off a warm fuzzy feeling. By adding acrylic ghost chairs and a fresh wooden walkway and stage, the space gained a more elevated and modern look.

The reception took place under a billowing, gauzy fabric canopy, where we had decked marble-surfaced tables with tall centerpieces, glass candle holders, and small vessels holding interesting plants including multiple succulent species, veronicas, bunny tail and pampas grass. There was no better way to create a cozy evening than to grace the ceiling with rows of string lighting. All of the elements combined to create a flawlessly romantic feel as the guests danced underneath the desert moon.
