A Beautiful Blend of Colors and Textures at Saddlerock Ranch

August 9, 2022 8:41 am

When you think of florals, you often think of beautiful flowers arranged in a clear vase. But in the floral and event design world, there are tons of different kinds of containers for arrangements, not just clear glass. Chelsea and Hank wanted to play with a variety of materials for their event design – they wanted pottery, metal vases, and even standalone wood pieces for their decor. We worked with terra cotta and cement pots and urns, as well as a variety of other containers, for this sophisticated wedding at Saddlerock Ranch. For our color theme, we used lots of greenery and green flowers (like hydrangeas) accented with pink from pampas grass, astilbe, and proteas. Collections of small and large... Read More

A Simply Perfect Color Palette at Bel Air Bay Club

August 4, 2022 11:50 am

When you have a stunning backdrop for your ceremony like the ocean view at Bel Air Bay Club, it’s all about highlighting the surroundings, not distracting from them. Danielle and Casey wanted a crisp, lush blend of white flowers and lots of greenery, a simple palette that let the ceremony space truly shine. We created a full, textural chuppah with lots of white roses and greenery – including ruscus and lemon leaf – atop a modern white stage. At cocktail hour, our photobooth backdrop and fountain featured more classic white roses and greenery for a consistent palette. In the ballroom, we added lovely light blush pink florals for more color and dimension to the overall look. This was the perfect... Read More

Uniquely Beautiful at Carondelet House

July 5, 2022 5:47 pm

Carondelet House is one of the most distinctive venues in Los Angeles. The building is a former residence of an architect – and it shows. Tons of unique details abound, from the rich brick walls to the warm wood beams overhead to the charming little courtyard in the middle of the space. It’s no surprise wedding couples flock to Carondelet House to celebrate their weddings. Donna and Michael wanted a rustic but artful design; we created an asymmetrical border of greenery and orchids for a stunning framework to their vows. The ceremony chairs, a blend of natural woods and styles, offered a lighter counterpoint to the dark greenery, for a perfect balance. We brought in more lightness to the reception... Read More

An Intimate Celebration at Calamigos

July 1, 2022 11:25 am

For Mena and Cyrus’ winter wedding in Southern California, we ran with the foresty surroundings of Calamigos and decorated with tons of greenery – including above the sofreh and surrounding the welcome sign. Ivory roses everywhere provided a pretty and lush contrast, from the all-white bouquets of the bridesmaids to the classically simple centerpieces on the dining tables. We also provided florals and rose blooms for the beautiful sofreh. The seafoam bridesmaid dresses and linens wove seamlessly into the overall look. Vivid Colors and Soft Romance at Saddlerock Ranch

June 7, 2022 2:46 pm

A spectrum of pinks and reds greeted Shawn and Melody’s wedding guests at their Saddlerock Ranch celebration. Their wedding chuppah featured soft blush and ivory; in the reception space – under a beautiful clear tent – our centerpieces featured fuchsia anemonies, pink ranunculus, blush hydrangeas, and bright red roses. Friendly and festive, this vivid color scheme was perfect for a spring wedding. Our weathered wood lanterns lined the carpeted ceremony aisle and matched the vintage-style cross-back wood chairs. Clusters of flowers sat atop the lanterns and matched the greenery and mix of ivory and blush flowers on the chuppah. In the reception tent, guests dined under twinkle lights and greenery, setting a romantic tone for the rest of the evening.... Read More

Summertime Beauty at Four Seasons Westlake

June 3, 2022 12:29 pm

The lush lawn at the Four Seasons Westlake set the scene for Alla and Alano’s summery wedding. Cream and ivory flowers with pops of lavender and greenery created a light yet luxurious look to the wedding. For the ceremony, we built a freestanding circular arch, echoing the symbol of the wedding ring for a poetic touch. The couple provided guests with tossing petals on an antique cart, which we dressed with more flowers and greenery; and we flanked the aisle with lush wildflowers. For the outdoor reception we designed both tall and low centerpieces with a mix of roses, tulips, and orchids. The tall pieces consisted of full arrangements of flowers, and modern candleholders dressed with phaelenopsis orchids. The final... Read More

A Burst of Color by the Sea

May 18, 2022 5:17 pm

Bright florals and dreamy greenery made Brittany and Ethan’s Terranea wedding feel like a celebration amidst a field of wildflowers. Adding elegance to the rusticity were rented upholstered chairs, well-appointed tableware, and our beautifully composed wedding arch and centerpieces. And probably the most important detail: A sweet floral collar for the bride and groom’s dog! The colors of teal, blue, pink, blush, and sand were on display everywhere, from the bridal bouquet to the aisle decor. A white gate with lush florals greeted guests to the ceremony. Along the aisles were bursts of delphinium and greenery in pops of blue and pink. The existing pergola at Terranea, positioned directly in front of the ocean, was frosted with flowing branches of... Magical Green Garden Wedding at Monarch Beach Resort

February 19, 2021 3:15 am

Standing at the center of the Pacific Lawn at the Monarch Beach Resort, a grand greenery chuppah easily commanded the ceremony space. Constructed from natural wooden posts covered in green ivy and moss, the top was blossoming with a lush creation of pepper berry and assorted white florals. The couple opted for a custom chuppah rather than use the existing hotel gazebo so that they could uniquely arrange their ceremony in a round, easily giving all guests a great view for their vows. A long-mirrored catwalk was built specifically for the occasion and beautifully reflected the long row of pillar candles that bordered the aisle on each side. The romantic greenery continued in the reception, where custom pergolas were created... Read More

Timeless White Wedding at Jonathan Club DTLA

October 2, 2020 12:47 am

With the popularity of outdoor garden weddings, especially in California, it can feel new and exciting to design a timeless, white ballroom affair. David and Ramona’s wedding at the historic Jonathan Club´╗┐ in Downtown LA was as perfectly classic and elegant as they come. Both the couple’s ceremony and reception took place in the dark, wooded lower level ballroom at the social club. The ceremony’s focal design was a white draped chuppah with a lush frame of all white flowers, including garden roses, hydrangea, and phalaenopsis orchids. Complimenting floral bouquets were created around the center of the back posts adding even more beauty to the structure. In the reception, the classic all white color palette continued, joined by gold accents... Read More
